I'm good with all the suggestions with the exception of the quiet evening with just the nuclear family. Christmas isn't just for our immediate family it's for all people. As a child, my mother invited all the people she knew who would be alone for Christmas to spend it with us. My siblings and I didn't always appreciate this, however, we do now. We celebrate God's ultimate expression of love by sharing God's very self with us in Jesus Christ. God withheld nothing from us, therefore, we should withhold nothing from those around us. To insulate one's self on Christmas I believe is contrary to the good news of the Gospel.
